LYNN DAVID

About

Lynn David’s writing is as eclectic as his life’s journey. He’s been a soldier, mechanic, psychiatric nurse, trucker, lifeguard, bar owner and construction project manager — not all at once, though he’s sure someone, somewhere, has tried. Decades of watching people under pressure have taught him that the polite version we present to the world is just the surface; the real stuff comes out when we’re tired, hungry, scared or one bureaucratic form away from losing our minds.
He’s a storyteller with a lifetime of human experience and a sense of humour that can only be described as Pythonesque — the sort that sneaks up on you, taps you on the shoulder, and says something ridiculous just when you thought the moment was serious.
At seventy‑four, some might say he’s too old to begin a writing career. Lynn disagrees. He’s seen enough to know that “too late” is usually said by people who never started anything themselves. One day (not too soon, Lord) he’ll be worm food — or ash scattered somewhere peaceful — but until then, he intends to keep telling stories, shining a light on injustice, and laughing at the absurdity of being human.
